how do i destroy a tilled field? everyone says they are easy to destroy but i havnt been able to

They used to be able to be easily destroyed and that was exactly the problem (too easy to grief a base you've been raiding because fields take a lot of investment and were easy to destroy). Don't keep salt near your fields and few raiders will bother destroying them

Yes it was our feeling that players who spend weeks and hundreds of hay tiering up their fields shouldn't see them get toasted in two swings.

We also didn't like the idea of a player smashing dirt to destroy it either.

soo, now they just cover a base in fields and let the owner spend loads of salt to remove them again?

While that would be a bit ugly that doesn't really hurt the base's owner, unless the owner has OCD.

unless its a fairly new base and the owner has no buildings yet
iirc you cant build a house on a field ^_^

You can if you pave your fields.

ah, okay, didnt know that

yeah, you can't build fields on paved ground, but you can pave the ground underneath them after they are tilled.
