I just logged on and discovered my claim got raided. They broke our wall (we only had one), broke our chests, emptied our sheds and all that. You'd think they'd leave scents if they did that, but there is only ONE miserable trespassing scent by the claim border. No others. How is that possible?
It was a private claim.
Yes, our claim had silver in it.
No, no one has access rights to it except for me and 2 other people who live here and definitely didn't do this.
I've asked around and no one has any idea of how this was done except maybe abusing bugs...
Please, help. I just wanna know how this was done so I can prevent it from happening again.

There is no such bug that would allow you to be raided with no scents. Only someone with permissions to your claim or in a party with the claim owner could have done this without leaving scents.

Much more likely is that the scents just aren't showing up. Try walking away a screen or so and coming back again a few times and see what shows up.

Edit: If you want to prevent this happening again, add a couple braziers. It's unbelievable that you would have sheds and no smelter yet. Braziers are crazy overpowered right now, there's no reason to get raided at all right now.

thanks for the suggestion, but i've tried doing the screen thing, going in and out of the house and all. there really is just one scent.
and the only people with permissions are the people who live here. so unless it was one of us who betrayed the others then that didn't happen either. could be, but is there any other way? because i really strongly believe it wasn't an inside job.

i forgot to mention, but this might be important.
when i logged on, there was a KOd guy laying inside the claim.
after i realized what happened, i tracked the only scent left and it was from the KOd guy. then i tracked his claim and it was just a leanto right under my claim, about 1min away.
his leanto was a little decayed too and i think i remember seeing it before so it might have been there for a while.
i asked to sent the KOd guy home and he appeared by the leanto i tracked.

oh we did have braziers, but we didn't know we needed to have 3 walls. the third crime thing.

oh and about being in the party with the claim owner... that didn't happen unless someone hacked their computer, because they were asleep aswell as i was.

No permission to white players. HS set up, yeah but I seriously doubt they'd know it or guess it. And then again even if they did guess it, wouldn't they still need permission to do all that stuff? Destroy things and all?

What third crime thing? Braziers will start firing on the first waste crime. Once upon a time, they didn't start firing till the second crime, but that was a long time ago.

The alt with a trespassing scent was bait. Whoever raided you was hoping you would kill it so they could return and summon kill you. The only possibilities here are these: (1)There are scents and you didn't go far enough away to reload them; you just aren't seeing them. (2) One of your friends betrayed you and stole and smashed everything. (3) Someone convinced the claim owner (you?) to join a party in Boston or some such and raided you while you were in it. (4) For some reason you gave full permissions to white colored players and then kinned several random people or had a HS secret that was somehow guessed by the raider.

The only possibilty there is the second, we were betrayed by our friend. I still think we weren't, I strongly STRONGLY believe he didn't, but out of all those that's the only one.
The scents you say I might not be seeing... I can see one of them, so wouldn't I be able to see all? And I've walked and gone far away and came back and traveled to boston and back, entered the houses numeorous times... I really don't think that's what's happening.

And a friend of mine just told me that for the braziers to fire they need to commit 3 crimes, so ours didn't probably because he used a bunch of different alts and only commited 2 crimes on each? I don't know, it's new information to me because I had never heard of such a thing. But I don't care the braziers didn't fire, I just wanna know how come there are no scents...

Ah and I knew the alt was bait, all we did was sent him home.

No, your friend is wrong. Like I said, it used to be that you could break one wall down and the next crime would trigger braziers. That bug was fixed long ago, before the server reset even. That is not what happened. Even if that bug still did exist, scents would have been left and braziers would have fired at some point.
