How do you beat braziers?

Postby Nue » Mon Jul 21, 2014 9:25 pm

Today I was bored and went exploring. I came across a claim with no walls and a single brazier on it.
So, never having tried things like this before I decided to experiment and take out the brazier.

3 seconds later my 60 black bile is gone and I'm knocked out on the claim.
No wonder nobody's raided me yet with a single wall, these things are deadly!
How is it even possible to raid people when they get a plank fence up?

Do you need 1000 biles or something? It's taken me months to get into the 60s.

I believe the tactic is to build empty braziers in range of the enemy ones to take out the effectiveness.

That only helps so much. You have to have about 200 biles and multiple attackers before you can even do that.

We consider braziers to be overpowred and broken at the moment. They are on the roadmap to be fixed for that exact reason.

Nice try, you're likely a dead man now.

We are having a difficult time prioritizing raiding over what we believe to be staples in the game itself such as the client, purity, tempo, and fleshing out some content. It is certainly high on our list, but it doesn't make much sense to address raiding in a game that itself requires a bit of love in certain areas to keep people to raid in the first place.

maybe if the land has a brazier you don't really need on it I still say you shouldn't be able to be murdered unless you commit a crime
months to get 60's really I got that in just a week you must play what 20 min a day?

It's not about time spent in game. Few months for a casual player or a noob is not bad anyway.
Some people don't care about their biles that much and prefer to do other stuff. Increasing biles quickly requires some amount of planning, discipline and consistency. You have to plan your menu, check values on different dishes and their timers, prepare proper food and be online when F&F timer ends. Some people just prefer to build some stuff or explore instead. Besides, I think people in general overvalue biles. If you are not into PvP then you don't really need them that much. Sure, you can raise biles just in case someday someone attacks you and those higher biles may save your life. Which is not true if you don't have combat experience anyway.
