Cauldron purity

Can a cauldron have purity?
If yes, does its purity affect the purity of the food boiled in it?
And does the water i put in it affect the food purity?

yes to all three.

A cauldron has the purity from the iron bars it is built with, and the purity of the water is also important when boiling (and of course the purity of the unboiled stuff). Generally, copper pots are much easier to make/move/trade.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Water does not have any influence.

Thanks for the infos.
But there is still something I dont understand about purity: let's say i have a 20% lead cauldron and 10% lead water and i decide to boil a 0% witch hat.. What will be the result? Will only the gluttony value corresponding to lead element (black bile) grow up or all the values?

the gluttony values are not linked with a given element. The colours are similar, "on accident". If your item is more pure, the multiplier will rise and the item will be better on all of its gluttony values. Hence, in the current system it does not matter WHICH element the item is pure in, as long as it is so.

Water purity matters for pots but not cauldrons.

Is it me or does mushrooms boiled not take any purity? I have tried them in 40% copper pot and a 71% cauldron, the shrooms seem to stay the same, on the other hand the gourds and bone marrow and sea loafs do well.

Thinking purity will get fixed with alchemy by Christmas... 2014...

If we are lucky maybe before... until this it's a crap shot all 'round.

(PS- hoping market stalls go live first... )
