How can i bind a key to my alt without another player helping ?

So far i only found a really stupid way of having my alt attack some animal, run to the fenced claim and close the gates.

being in combat, the alt will not be logged out,so i log on with my main and right-click my alt to bind the key.

is there an easier way to do this ?

Take the alt off the claim, get them to KO on your claim.
Log on your main and attune the key to the alt's unconcious body.
Send them to boston and re-add them claim access (don't forget to make them a leanto in the area)
Place keys in container
Log the alt on and port back
Get the keys from a container

I didn't come up with it, but supposedly it works. It's not much easier than what you suggested, but at least you don't need to find an animal first...?
