On mining

So i have 243 mines, on cave lvl 4 i dig straight line and on 378th tile, mysterious border appears, stone looks all the same, but can't get close enough to mine it. happens 5 tiles to either side aswell. built support, doesn't help. cant even place boulder on that tile. managed to get 35% rubble on the edge.

at that edge, it won't let me get closer as seen in the picture.


Learned 2 more mines levels, no help.
Is that the end of level 4 mine or what....anyone has any more info on it?

Mines have their limits (they are big squares). You have probably reached it. No way around it

You have indeed reached the edge of the mine. If you're trying to get the max purity out of your mine level, you can head for a corner as purity increases in a circle with distance from the ladder.

i've thought all range of hardrock type has an entrance as i got the entrance every time when i found a hardrock.
but, the thing is, In the 4th floor i found two range of hardrock and mine them. but i couldn't find an entrance to the 5th floor.
Does it always have an entrance up to the 3th floor? In case of from the 4th floor to 8th floor, does it have a chance to find a entrance per each hardrock type instead of 100 % chance?
Please advise on this.

I think it's a random chance every time you mine a hardrock tile. With the chance decreasing with level - so the lower you are the harder it is to find entrance to the next level

If it is a random change that get's lower and lower each level, then theoreticly one could be lucky and find cave down on lvl 4 within 10 hardrock mined?

Or it is more like forst 50 rocks mined have 0% change and then it slowly rises.

iam on lvl 4 and have around 500 hard-rock mined and still nothing :-/ is the chance of getting a cave-down linked to mines&mountains or + mining gear? i got ~200 mm and +600 mining

I wonder. If its pure luck then one can end up with on entrance on his level. Unless there is some system to prevent that. Also maybe M&M helps finding one? Has anyone reached lvl 5 and more yet ?

We have, the amount of rocks burned to get down from level 4 was well above thousands, we had pretty bad luck and basically spendt 2 weeks of mining (lazy mining after 1 week). M&M at 7500 on the mining character so its pretty low. But hopefully it does not matter >.>
