Note for new corn growers: the field is harvestable while the corn flowers are still visible and gives baby corn. You need to wait until the next stage when corn ears are visible.

IIRC, Jorb has said that it will eventually have uses.

It would have been sad if in order to polish the Thankgiving gift, it arrived in December.

how are you all getting this to tier 3-4? i can see growing cabage or cotton to build bars 1 or 2 to 50+% then gettign a tier 2, but everything i am reading says using cotton, kills the cabbage increased bar and vice versa.

to elaborate,

cotton uses bars 1+2, and gives bar 3
cabbage uses bars 3+4, and gives bar 1
corn uses bars 1+3

so no matter which i use to raise the bars corn needs im ALWAYS decreasing the other bar corn needs.

am i missing something, or is there maybe some plan to add another crop to assist in getting corn beyond tier 2?

ok so influence only increases the gain to crops? it doesnt also increase the consumption?

in the above example with an influence of say, 200% bars 2+3 only go down 5% but bar 4 goes up 10% ?

sorry i have only grown cereals, im doing my research before planting the others which is why i dont know the above answer.

Actually that's not how it works now. Currently crops reduce all bars, except the one they raise.
So in the above example bar 1 will also go down. However, only bars 2 and 3 decide what kind of products you get.

It was labeled as a bug long time ago, but somehow devs haven't fixed it yet, so I'd rather say it's a feature.
