I always thought it was intentional, kind of a "hey this guy died" message. Would be nice to see the candle pic turn to a skull or something when a person dies.

Yea, i assaulted guy who i found out knocked out in my base, trying to steal, he returned, cleared out my base so i wasted his leanto. that clue from screenshot is a bit wrong tho, i gave stuff to that guy. Anyway I don't regret anything, will continue to be kind except to those who steal from me. And thank you for valuable lesson. This is why i love this game, its cruel as life itself, it's unfair like life itself and yet its just a game, just like like life itsef.

It has been said many times here on the forums: "you haven't experienced the real Salem until your char has been killed." If you get killed just start again. The grind is tough but the knowledge you have the second time around makes it easier.

But I must say I do enjoy the tears of the people who rage quit after they die.

Most of this is is incorrect. You can do crimes with a 40 bb alt, you just have to do it smart. I haven't quite figured it out myself, but it can be done. Don't use your main tho.

Also don't quit, even without a base or a good character this game ha sa lot to offer, and it gets easier.
