I did think about it and then got a headache. I eh, must've been influenced by the haven wiki due to my recent time spent there, but I was thinking the table itself could be generated by a template, much like the infobox templates we already have for inspirationals/animals/foods etc. You could then add each ingredient to a list, with all relevant data input into it. Said infobox template would
a) format the data into the table format, to look more or less like it looks now
b) check for the pages of each added variable food, if inexistent add it raw, if existent add to variable ingredient category, add to it the variable properties and update them with the data thrown at the big template. Not sure if we'd also need a flag added to the template itself that triggers an update of the properties only when someone manually modifies them.
Edit : So haven's gonna be slow till they reset, expedition will be a while if Darwoth takes his sweet time milking as much sweet flesh for his cannibal as he can... Someone throw gratuitous pre-emptive praise at me so I can be motivated to fix this variable food page
