Aha, I gotcha. I was confused by Magic's 150 comment, my bad not his. I get my first round of pumpkins to 1k influence and thats 100 on that round, then my next round is cabbage so another 1k influence there gives me two bars at 100 giving me the best possible field you can have for cereal?

Here's a step by step guide for the example mentioned in my previous post.
How to get wheat fast:

1) Get 3-field system.
2) plant pumpkins, or cabbage.
3) Push influence to 1000%. Not sure how much hay that would take without 3 field system, hence I suggest getting that fist. It will still take a crapton.
Your fields, after harvest, will now have one influence bar at 50
4) repeat step 2 and 3. Use the same crop as you did last cycle.
Your fields, after harvest, will now have one influence bar at 100. Congrats.
5) plant the other crop. So pumpkin if you planted cabbage before, or cabbage if you planted pumpkins.
6) push influence to 1000%
Your fields, after harvest, will now have one bar at 95 (the harvest cycle used up 5), and the other bar at 50
7) plant another cycle of the second crop, and push influence to 1000%
You now have fields with 90 + 100 = 190 total influence.
8) If you are a nitpick, you can plant another cycle of the crop used in step 3, and push influence to 200%. This will make your bars go to 100 + 95 = 195 influence. Personally, I don't bother, but skip to..
9) plant cereals. Push as much plenty as you can, using lime.
10) profit
Did Claeyt shut up yet?

+1 Thank you very much! Probably one of the most helpful responses I have ever found here.
