Very nice pointers. I've been under the assumption that it's more or less pointless to build strong, extravagant bases because it doesn't stop the raiders. In fact, it can entice them to break in. But maybe that has changed with the brazier update. :?

If your claim covers cliffs can the braziers shoot up and down through the natural cliff walls?

Not sure if anyone has tested this yet, but I've been really curious about it lately.

I have seen them shoot over and through ridges yes, I assume they just work as if the land was completely flat based on their tile radius
