Are you certain corn doesn't behave like cabbage stalks, needing time in any container before it dries?

I know irl you have to dry corn before you can plant the seeds.

Baby corn is somewhat of a delicacy (in my culture...?). Both pickled and added to various dishes cooked. The entire cob is eaten of course seeing as it's about the size of your pinky finger.

Not sure how common it is as an edible dish in other cultures/areas of the world. I would love to see an entire chain of food production along the line of pickling/preservation be added though. Very historically accurate and I know cheesing from Haven as a mechanic worked for food preparation.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

From what I've heard, corn isn't even eaten outside of North America (maybe S. America).

Yeah I've never left my little corner of the world. And corn is involved in an absurd number of things via side products like corn syrup and etc.

I do love steamed or pickled baby corn though =<

What do you mean by that? Corn is quite common crop in Europe. True, most of it probably goes for animal fodder, but we do eat boiled corn, popcorn, corn flakes, corn flour bakings and probably hundreds of other dishes
