The more populated the area you forage, the higher chance to get indian feather/singing old log.

If you forage in a god forgotten place that is not lived, probably all the logs and stumps will be empty but if you forage in a populated place, you will find things in almost every stump

Where did you get this info?


It's how the server works. It doesn't load a tile until someone enters it. So, if the tile is often loaded, it will contain more items that spawn slowly over time than will a tile that is almost never loaded, because the timer only runs when the tile is active.

I had a half theory cooked up in my head that the biomes seem to grow onto muddy land the more you log out and log in and load the tiles. Does this tie into what you are saying?

I think it's total time loaded. It can seem like number of times just because loading once keeps a tile loaded for up to a few hours. John knows for sure if you can get him to tell you.
