Normally I do not trash on you man but really? So you are going to break into a pclaim walk up to the stone and attempt to waste to see if it has not been paid? Yes that is the only way to tell. However it also leaves a waste scent even if that was the only thing you tried to strike. The statement was a thief tells you they only steal from abandoned pclaims. how did they know the claims were abandoned they walked in and tried to bash it.... That means that the thief did not know if it was abandoned they simply made the assumptions and guessed correctly. In the occasion they guess incorrectly they cannot truly say they only steal from abandoned claims...

The point is a thief is a thief you can never assume the person has abandoned their claim. The only case that is true right now is on Popham where you if you can walk on it you can rob it.

I hate to call you out on your jack-holing, but...

bash != steal

Plus, if a thief bashes a wall and destroys a claim stone, nothing he takes from the nonexistent claim can be considered stolen.

Also, use some ***** punctuation. Your post was hardly worth reading, and less so with the infantile grammar.

Semantics, when you break down a claim stone, regardless of how the scents fall, you've essentially stolen the whole claim and everything in it. I'd consider that more on the lines of hilarious rather than criminal but yes, no larceny scents would be left in the process :roll:

So, this is an ethics debate now?

If you think that stealing from people too lazy to pay for their claim in an mmo is relevant to ethics, then sure whatever floats your boat :lol:

I don't, but your previous comment suggested that you do.

It's cool, mistakes happen. Anyways, to avoid derailing further - OP just pay for your claim and problem solved :P

Again, I wasn't talking about the ethics of stealing like that or otherwise. I was just saying that this is a way to test if the stone is still payed. You can always stop yourself from destroying it completely as you start swinging at it.

As long as someone takes stuff from 3 months dead claims I dont see that as so big issue that deserves hunt. Its quite risky as you can be tracked but at least he is not griefing people.

What I hate to see if people trash and harass active newbies but this was not the case. I suggest all good Salem jadies focus light force on those real abusers.
But thanks for help all. I got few PM offers from people in forums to help me and that is encouraging to know salem is not dominated by dark force and morons are here hopefully minority that gets hunted down .... not other way around.

A summon-able scent is punishable nothing more nothing less. I will repeat again a person who vandalizes or steals from a claim can not be sure if the person is active or not. All I was pointing out was that the act alone is still a crime and using a personal defense of "I only commit crimes against abandoned claims" is a bull **** statement. BTW you miss-spelled my name and your punctuation sucks too blah blah blah. See I can be childish like you as well.
