We have monstrus alturnatives:

March hare, White hind/ Furfur, Wishposh,...and god that bear...its eyes, burning like the coals of hell, fangs ready to rip into my flesh as it continues to smile, so joyful in its quest for blood....

....somethings can never be unseen.

It would end up like this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz-dwJoZQRk

Bear paws, pocket watches, etc etc.
Also have you farmed lard yet? I'd be happy to farm beavers under blood moon if the beaver tail rate would be increased.

Stocking up and butchering on a blood moon sounds realistic. give it a chance to spawn a animal spirit which is stronger and has some more loot. those who dare can get some loots or die.

I just had my first encounter with the creature, I didn't notice it on minimap nor the map, when I did it was already aggro. I run a little crazy, hit a tree, the jaguar claw'ed my 10 bile char for a wooping ~3 damage and I was stunned for an eternity. Then I ran, Lord Jeebus it's a Jaguar! I ran and cursed the moment I leave the boat to step foot in this indian witched land, then I hit another tree. This time I was lucky to not get claw'd in the back again. So I ran to my leanto so far away and all my possessions about to drop in the wild, silver and claim documents included. But the lord put a spider in my way, and as I passed by it the jaguar immediately hit it and started a fight. I couldn't believe my luck, I climbed a ridge just to make sure and waited the pve icon go away.
