woops, somehow i overlooked that tidbit.
You should find the latest drivers on the official sis site:

http://w3.sis.com/download/

where - i think - you'll want to make this choice (possibly the x64 XP version):

which results in this info, at least suggesting that a more recent driver is available:

please think about the driver you download :) is your XP 32 or 64 bit? I might not remember details about the thread correctly and you should never blindly download things people suggest to you :)

NB: good to know - I only really ever play on ender's client (recently, my own) so I have little experience with the default client. I'll try and remember that OpenGL 1.5 is required
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

MagicManICT wrote:From those screen shots, looks like your card only supports OpenGL 1.4. Salem requires 1.5. You can check through that app some to see if it can test for compatibility, but you may need a newer driver (sometimes this can add support for 1.5) or replace/upgrade the video card.

1407 is enough RAM. The default client stays under 1GB. I know Enders can eat up more with some of the caching it does. (I can play on a AMD Athlon with only 1GB and a 128MB video card).

Only !.2 Simple mesh worked
If is possible to find drivers for SiS 761GX
