Head back to Boston. On every server I've checked, there's a stretch of beach with more than a few seaweed every time you go by.

Ahh, thanks for the tip. I always figured Boston was/is in a constant state of being picked clean so never really thought about doing any serious forging there.

If the game was very busy, it probably would be, but with lower populations, it's the first place I check for salt and seaweed. I can find an occasional beaver or three, too.

I finally got the pot to work

1) remove pot from cooking fire
2) make sure cooking fire is empty (no fuel, no glowing embers)
3) put pot over cooking fire
4) put mushrooms in pot
5) fuel cooking fire (I fueled it to 100%, don't know if less will do)
6) light the fire

I can also verify the procedure above is the correct way to boil the mushrooms. When they are finished, it will say boil'd in the mushrooms stats.
