I know some people occasionally find stuff in old logs

when i first started i put about 5 Brilliant Honey-Dew's in one for storage, next to my leanto.

When i logged in the next day i found a piece of charcoal. From coal to diamonds, or the other way round in this case :D

Your goods were stolen. Items don't disappear from logs or stumps unless taken by another player.

I used an old stump for stashing goodies too - thought it'd be more inconspicuous than my baskets. Lost a snake skin, and this was before I could safely kill them so it felt like a much bigger loss than it was :D

EDIT: items don't disappear until taken? Really? So somebody found my camp and only took a snake skin and some random assorted crap rather than studying all my more valuable inspirationals (singing log, cobweb,...)

Logs take two clicks to open, stumps only take one. The choice is clear.
