Snake Determination?

Just lost 20,000 XP of inspirationals to a snake, phuck I love this game!

I think the snake is quite silly... I can live with the fact that he chases me untill i die.
The problem is that if i get bitten im going to die.

Im soo early in the game that im chanceless to even aquire $250 and the risk of aggroing new snakes keeps me constantly from searching for new items.
After getting knocked out 4+ times yesturday im now stranded in the city with all humors down in the bottom and no food around.
Anyone got a good solution to this problem?

Use enders client and stay away from snakes that show up on the minimap.

Erm... I've got away from snakes by climbing a ridge, so long as there isn't a break in the ridge on the mini map then the snake won't find a way down, not unless they've changed this in the last 6 months.

It is a shame that you were unable to find a stump, hollow log, or a myrtle oak bush to put your stuff in before succumbing to the effects of the rattler poison. After doing so, it is only a matter of returning to that spot to pluck them from their stashed location.

Hell, I've tried that before and only able to put 3 or 4 things in before snake bites me down. I have very low Biles at the moment (12)

Snake was upon me before I noticed him (can't run Ender's client - fails to initialise!?), and I climbed a ledge but then he went around, I did extend olive branch, should've simply run for it, I was a bit low on phlegm though, my fault. Oh well I did find a whispering Snake Skull 8)) - compensation? I think I will hold that in a log while I play - so that I don't lose that to a Snake, then retrieve it before I logout.

At your level, you should sell it. You'd get enough silver to buy a claim and things like iron and nails.

I tried doing that once. This led to the snake biting me in my silly ass while I was slowly climbing up. When you don't have any of the good climbing modes climbing is really slow...

A completely new character, with only 5 phlegm, can turn on run, and get enough distance from a snake to have it drop aggro, provided it starts with a full 5 phlegm bar. The OP must have been running in zig-zagging circles.
Once you can wander, notice that wander is also sloghtly faster than a snake, so if you're low on phlegm, you can use that as well to get enough distance. Just takes longer.

The snake in question had not attacked me yet. I dont even recall if the combat symbol was up. I started running before he actually got to me. I used terrain and got away, but he made his way through it and kept coming. And then followed me across all of north america. I think i made it to Phoenix before dying and respawning in Roanoke

Ive since learned to use Water, which is brilliant, and really turns the tables on them if you have a pocket full of rocks.
