Roanoke is mostly dominated by the Russians, who raid new players constantly. From what few threads we see about it, they seem to be a real scourge on the other players. And they don't communicate very much with anyone else.

I was raided by Russians recently, and they were the most polite raiders I ever encountered. After a fairly pleasant chat I partied one of them so they can take their pick of my stuff without destroying my braziers. He barely took anything, and no attempt was made on my character's life.
