Coniferous forest turkey spawn is fairly common, and as far as them spawning on badlands they seem to spawn pretty low

They are definitely less common than they were. I'd say they're more common than rabbits are, but less common than crickets (in grassland that is*).

By god though badlands tiles burn the eyes.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Too common near me, I just kill em and use em for compost. Annoying birds...

I'm having the same issue - anyone tell me what the icon on ender's client looks like?

Also - I'm cruising rivers looking for them - do they not spawn next to water?

Do I need to have built a turkey coop before I can see them?

Best I can remember is "a moving dot". You'll instantly recognize their sound though.

That's beavers. Turkeys don't care about water.

Nope. You just need to be in the right place (Coniferous Forest as others mentioned) and have a bit of luck.

On Ender's radar they're a blue diamond.

Want to make sure that I'm looking in the right place - here is a screeny of my minimap - I'm looking in the dark green area :

That's marshland, not pine forest.
