If you walled in your braziers in such a way that you couldn't get to them to refuel them, I could make a bunch of alts, camp out near by, and just constantly activate them to get them to drain out and quit firing. It's a tactic that has been used in other games and will work here, too.

Well...
First, those alts would require black skills to activate braziers.
Second, you would have to lead all those alts to my place, or spawn them at my place and then feed them inspirationals to teach black skills. You finally drain all coal from braziers. I'm still offline. Now you raid my place.
Third, easy refueling doesn't help me when I'm offline :D

If draining tactic is feasible for raiders then there is nothing that can be done while claim owner is offline. Nothing except for building more braziers :D

I'm not entirely sure how long it takes for a brazier to burn out its fuel. It could be that the people attempting to raid you have to quit for the night, you log in, see tons of scents, and so you have a chance to refuel braziers (assuming you have the coal around).

Yeah, more braziers are better, always.
