I was under the impression you need to use Java Web Start (javaws.exe in your java directory) to run .jnlp files.

Try clicking the salem.jnlp Icon and dragging it over javaws.exe to open it with that program.

Nah, problems like this pop up all the time and we just take care of them 1x1. Your problem is actually not that common, because most people's computers are configured to automatically furn .jnlps with javaws.
