The small bats dont attack you in providence either, at least not the last time I walked past some bats there.

Mining on a BM is very risky, chances are you spawn a bat => KO => bat still on your neck => KO => death

That is why I mentioned the part about using Latikai and the auto-drop bat feature.

Was about to post the same thing but got ninja'd. Anyhow, that's why Latikai's auto bat plucker's important. It saved my hide several times and it is pretty much the glorious benefits you get from custom clients.

Sometimes I wonder what the death toll would've turned out to be if neither Ender or Latikai client existed for that purpose. I would've got wasted at this rate considering I'm one clumsy boo boo.

You will still take damage, and if you are extremely unlucky with a super-sticky-fast-re-attaching bat, and lag, then you might still die.

Makes me think of my first cave down getting KO'd four or five times trying to clear out all the bats... lol

If the initial cavedown dmg does not KO you, you can just quickly get up the ladder again, and wait for a few minutes for the bats to despawn.
