Dont bother with any defenses so that others can raid you at anytime uncontested..Edit

Just do a mix of both.

Yes, green is for mods. Please stop using it in your posts like that. ~TotalyMeow

more braziers ALWAYS help. If you have none yet, new ones help TONS.

I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

In my opinion your base design and brazier/torchpost design is more important than how many braziers and torchposts you build.

If you have this

All around your base but nothing inside your actual base people will have to break through only 1 wall segment, once inside every brazier is unprotected and will be destroyed easly...
BUT if you build your base in segments, people will have a much more difficult time raiding you.

I'm aware of that. This is not my base. This picture was given to me few months ago when i asked how to protect myself.
Gives a rough estimation what to do.

Close though. You should get some pretty good damage done from one brazier. Two braziers will increase the max damage, but not double it. Three will increase the max again, but not as much as the second brazier did. It's logarithmic. You should eventually approach a maximum with a solid wall of braziers.

Same goes for the Torchposts, and their damage is calculated separately from braziers.
