How to place the stove

Lets be honest, this is a bug. Yes it is a known bug that the developers have said will be fixed; however, it is still a bug. Many players have been successful applying the workaround for the bug, but it isn't a player failing if that player has trouble applying the workaround.

Now the good news is that there are very few cooked items that absolutely require the stove. So other than a sense of self-fulfilment, there is no big reason not to wait until the bug is fixed to place the stove.

I tried a ***** load of times from the center of the house, but I went to the corner on the side of the door and got it on the first try.

I stated it's a known issue. Jorb even clearly stated that when the design was put into game that there were placement issues. I can't provide anything else that isn't already here. My thought was that someone might be able to provide extra advice here where they might have missed this thread in the other section. You clearly said you read what other people have written, thus what other advice can I provide?

I live in a village full of houses, both kinds of houses, and they all have stoves...it must be operator error here.

Walk in the house.
Bring up the build model for the stove.
Hold shift and rotate the stove to align it with the grid, with the fireplace opening facing the center of the house.
[if you are on BD client turn off Tilify, ctrl z or something I dont use it so nfc)
Hold the stove model over the spot where the stove goes (the 2 space wide notched out part in the wall).
Press CTRL and move the stove forward onto the wood flooring 1 notch.
Click.
Success.
