A newbie myself i'm using roasted nuts for mining. I have lots of conifer (pine nuts) and hickory trees around. They can be collected in masses in no time and provide an ok amount of phlegm.

Argentis wrote:For Phlegm Regen: If you leave the tea leaves in a box for a day or two they will turn into wilted tea leaves. You can then boil those leaves in a pot (1 per pot/ copper pot advised) and the water in the pot will turn into tea. You can then drink the tea out of a flask. 1L of tea will give you a full buff (regen 1 Phlegm every 2-3 seconds) which is still not enough to mine indefinably under buff but which should give you a nice endurance. The Buff lasts 15 min you can reset those 15 min by sipping your tea (0.1L). So 1.1L of tea should give you 29 minutes buff (because you won't sip at the last second or the buff will run out), 1.2L 43 min, etc.

Well, with steel pickaxe and mining gear full tea buff should be enough. Plus some pies to regen blood and yellow bile (fighting bats and carrying boulders)

Tea and Steel isn't enough. If you add a Mining set then sure.
