How do you fight deer?

Just stab it. If you have a decent set and 200+ biles you OS the *****.

Or you can just stomp -> stab and run around a tree. Rinse and repeat, easy as hell.

Well you need animal glue well before you hit 200 biles

And having it charge you point blank and fracturing you is a death sentence for someone without 200 biles

You must be doing something wrong if you give it enough space to charge at you, if you really need a crutch use latikais client, it basically cheats for you by showing you the path the animal takes.

I've had him charge me from 1 square away a couple of times. I've seen it happen to the guy who lives with me too. I'll video killing it a few times and show you tomorrow if you'd like.

Yeah sure i can tell you exactly what it is your doing that is letting the deer get distance from you.

This is what you don't seem to get. The deers do sometimes charge even in melee range, I've seen it happen plenty of times. Perhaps as you start 1shotting them they don't have a chance to, but if you mess up at lower humours it'll spaz eventually. Even 40 humours is enough provided you can time your stomps and dodge behind trees. I find anything less will get you out of yb before you finish it off, and regain balance exposes you to a spazzycharge.

Wrong.
With good gear you can kill it even when you have a fracture at about 100-150 if you are an experienced hunter.

25 YB seems like it would be hard to finish him off before you ran out, but I'll take your word on it. At my current YB of 80, if he fractures me in melee then I'm as good as dead. I'll admit i'm not the best at hunting or anything, nor do I have all the skills yet. Just seems weird that he charges close is what I'm getting at.
