My first encounter with bats was when entering the first cave-down entrance I'd gotten since I got back. There were 10 bats all around me and punch would've been less than optimal xD I feel the best tactic is to leave one latched on for a bit, AoE the rest, then remove and finish off the last one.

Are you insinuating there is a larger bat I can kill? I did not read this in notes maybe I missed it.... Sure hope so. I don't even have the regular bats come in my mine. Mined 40 tiles at least and not one bat.
