I really hope you consider putting in a special animal or animals for blood moon only times, to make it a funner experience for those who wish to take risks during blood moon.

High risk, High reward.

Sounds like fun.

Make it strong though. No cheap expendable alts to kill it. 500 blood would be a minimum for the beast.

I would love to see them as boss monsters. Like big bad monstrous Cthulhu. Giant bloody bear. Bat-winged argopelter.
And the fact that you will die in bloodmoon. Damn that is scary just to think about it.

Even though JC said that it's not gonna work, I still think your idea is great: some sort of sacrificial acts during bloodmoon certainly add up to its name. Seeing your neighbor butcher countless animal corpses during bloodmoon is dark as hell. :o

This is why I like your ideas. They come with a built-in logic as to why they don't work :).

I got an idea to counteract the animal carcasses hoarding syndroma. Make them resurrect and mutate during a blood moon. Of course there is the problem of sleds and carts where people put their carcasses but I'm sure you'll find a solution.

Stop feeding them ideas :) if they all would spawn, they would not fit the church and it would collapse.

Another idea! Add a small chance for building to collapse during a full moon when players are inside. That would instantly KO them and put them outside and so as it is a blood moon they would permadie. Make the chances for the building to collapse to be 50/50 so it's too OP ¦]

Could you not just make animals that spawn during the blood moon be "monstrous" crickets/rabbits/deer/beavers/etc etc and give them their own carcasses, the cricket would have slightly better points for studying, the rabbit would have a higher chance of dropping jackalope antlers, etc for each animals rare drop, along with a little extra meat.

Yeah I like the idea of deformed, monstrous alternatives of animals.

idea is nice but i would prefer new drops/rare new drops from that monsters, whats the point in risking perma death for jackalope antlers or beaver tail ?
