So sue me for learning larceny to get my own sled back. It's not like I turned it on and then invaded someone's town and stole everything.

Lalaith from KKK came by, trolled me for 20 minutes, and then executed my character. Whatever. I'll find some other game to spend my money on (I had bought Silver to get started out). Any community that is so against a new player who made an honest mistake is not a community that anyone would want to be a part of.

If something like this makes you quit then Salem is simply not the game for you. An early death is a trial to over come and test if you have the stomach for a game where a simple mistake can cost you months of work. You should be thanking Lallaith for making you realize your time would be better spent else where - imagen how much worse it could be if it had been two or three months down the line that you experienced this sort of a loss.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Charlie Mansons crimes were an honest mistake too. He forgot his wallet at Sharon Tates house and turned on his crimes to get it back

it's not exactly an honest mistake. From our point of view, there is no difference from you trying to steal a sled that someone carelessly left lieing about vs you trying to save your own sled.
As Icon said before, it's not an honest mistake if you learned larceny, need to turn on criminal acts in order to take something you claim is yours.
Doing so without knowing the ramifications of stealing and then whining about it is unlikely to get you much sympathy in this environment.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I'm pretty sure murdering another player is a crime, far worse than larceny on an inactive claim. But everyone here seems to think that was perfectly legal. Right, that totally makes sense.
