as a side note? are you from sweden? Around 1 hour ago Loftar(dev) had some problems with logging in to game(source: irc). Seems like there are/were some ISP problems in sweden.
Not sure if that got fixed already or not.
People from USA/Canada/Australia/UK/Poland can login for sure so I suppose this problem is only for swedes and maybe norwegians. Maybe thats the problem you are getting.

I noticed other people had this issue but clearing their java cache seemed to of fixed it.. this isnt the case with me.. still getting same error. this sucks.

You can try doing tracert or a ping to the server. If there's an internet issue, it will usually show up with one of those two. Still no guarantees a connection will actually work, which is why I suggest checking your network and security software. Sometimes updates come through on those and mess with things in ways that were just fine a couple of days ago.

Did you attempt to run it as Administrator? I know I had to for the first time running it.

How do i run it as adminstrator? I was thinking this was the problem as I need to do this for most programs BUT i see no option to do that for salem.jnlp

Right clicking doesnt have an option to run as adminstrator like most programs.

How do I set to run as an admin?

It's not a rught click option as stated by the guy before and as I said I have cleared my java cache.

"Run as Administrator" should be a right-click option if you have permissions to do so. If you're the only computer user, you should have that option. If it's someone else's computer and you're set up strictly as a user without access to administrator rights, you can't.
