No... there isn't a faster way to change element or purity.

I usually don't bother going 25 ore... I suggest you try it... you will find that you get...damn it... can't think of the word... but a mutual result that's typically far under what it should be.

Curiously...dross is usually at the % you were looking for while the actual bars are the medium value.

Best to run 2x 25 ore at the new purity... to start getting reliable results...else it will take 3-4 firings.


For torch... make sure it's equipped...so if you are inside your house... un-equip axe or sword, etc... and have it equipped when you exit... you can not carry a torch (or any item single handed) outside a building... any building.

If you light the torch from an 'outside' source... you can carry it in your hand to the smelters to light... but only then.

I think he means you can not leave it on your cursor and walk out of the house you need to equip it to keep it lit.
