Brazier(s)

Now that multiple Braziers have the same damage output, is there still a reason to spam them? Maybe coal consumption or multiple raiders to target?

Proabably be better of using the same amount of braziers but spread them out, which means bigger defenses. Shouldn't really be a problem though since they lowered the cost of walls.

What it means is that now you are better off wrapping each brazier in a couple layers of wall than you are just spamming braziers.

suppose you have 3 raiders and 1 brazier, does it shoot the 3 at once and if yes does consume 3x more coal?

All Braziers fire at the same person who is in range and has committed the most recent crime. At least that's how it worked some time ago.

You will probably struggle to get definite answers on a lot of these questions, raid mechanics are secret knowledge.

Brazier turrets, single or double braziers further out with 2 or 3? layers of walls, preferably plank, and of course gates so you can refill. Increases the time to reach your main wall significantly. and doesn't let them circle around your wall so easily.

A slight benefit of spamming braziers would be that each brazier has a chance to crit. Downside would be, crits will probably suffer from the damage reduction as well.

so if crits are reduced(big if), and they all shoot at once with the same damage, consuming their coal to shoot, the only advantage would be it takes more time to destroy 10 braziers than it takes to destroy 1? Is that it?

Also, remember that a character can now regenerate humors and log out during CRIME debuff. I could be wrong, but it seems that those changes will make it easier for a properly equipped raider to complete his task of destroying your defenses. It seems to me that you will will be best served actively defending during an attack instead of relying on infrastructure.

I'd appreciate if anyone can correct any wrong thinking on my part.
