How to rise black bile

Postby loris » Mon May 13, 2013 12:53 pm

Hi all, after few days of confusion I'm starting to understand how this game works. I still have problems with the gluttony mode which is completely not intuitive for me. I read that I have to eat blackberries, when in gluttony mode, to rise the black bile, but probably I do something wrong because I just ate 15 with no chance to rise anything. in the time I eat a blackberry the black bile bar turn almost to 0 losing all I've gained.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
loris

Do you turn the "gluttony mode" on by hitting the fork symbol? If so, do you hit next berry the second the first is consumed? Dont wait for the bars to go down.
Other food that is good for BB is Cabbage cakes and maybe boiled witch hats(?).

Yes, I do, but the bar goes up very small and while I'm consuming one it turns down almost to 0.
I ate 15 blackberries one after the other and the bar has never reached even the half

With a makeshift fishing rod (4 sticks, two hay and a flint) there are other food that are easy to get and good at raising your black bile: Roasted Trunk-Nosed Lake Perch (easy catch and find fish), Seaweed Rolls.

Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

I don't get. Is there a guide to understand the gluttony/bile system?

Posting a few related questions here to avoid flooding with new threads:
1. I've heard that mushrooms are dangerous now, so what are the recommended early foods for raising black bile? yellow bile? blood? phlegm?
2. What early foraged foodstuff can be sold to established players? Is there still a demand for Witch's Cap and other mushrooms?
3. Can one safely fish anywhere within the Boston claim?
