Is it better to just have all braziers or should I have some torch posts in the mix????

braziers and torchposts have separate calculations for damage, you can never hurt with doing more of either.
If you have none, definitely add some torchposts: they have a really long range and even 4-5 can make a difference.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

but wouldn't it be better just to have all braziers because they do more damage.

Mix of both.
1) Torchpost range is longer
2) Braizer fire and torchpost fire are too different things.
2.1 Case study. When 1 brazier shoots the attacker it does 100% dmg. When 2 brziers shoot attacker at the same time they both do 50% of the max dmg. Now when 2 braziers and 1 torchpost is doing thw work the tmg is 50% 50% and 100%.

the more brazzers ¦] the better

You will have nothing but profit if you mix braziers and torchposts.

Don't focus too much in torchposts because they can be drained out of ammo in half an hour or so. Also spam spam spam the defenses, if you have only 1 brazier covering a cornerpost people will get inside there, and once inside unprotected braziers are *****.
