Single tile pillars - How to remove these?

Postby vysen » Sat Apr 11, 2015 9:12 pm

Is my only option building a giant mountain of dirt encasing it to then dig it all down? Or is there some easier way I'm missing?

Nah that's pretty much it, except it'd be a one sided ramp more than a mountain.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

Damn. That's supposed to be addressed whenever the "Archaeology" thing is made and patched, right?

I've heard no news about it. But I certainly hope they will consider it.

The most annoying thing is when there is no way in hell you can remove the ridges as there are too many ridges next to each other and to destroy one you need to destroy the other. Some ridges are impossible to remove.

Should all the map have the ability to be terraformed though? I feel like the whole point of the world generation is to have unique landscape features. I'm not saying that it is interesting, but shouldn't that existing near you keep you from using that land?

No we should have the ability to build and change the land if we are willing to put the manpower into it.

I believe you can get rid of all of those cliffs, except maybe the dark-blue portion.

Step 1: Ctrl+dig on the numbered tiles in order. This should allow you to reduce the majority of that mountain down to the circled height. You might need to flatten some additional tiles.

Step 2: Work on the the mound under the blue rectangle, then ctrl+dig again on the tiles until you can get to that dark-blue height.

Something along these lines should work, but its hard to tell without actually being there. If all else fails, start sweet talking Marp and try to get him to help.
