No. That changed ages ago, and now dried fish is the most useless food there is.

Not sure if the two above me are trying to troll help, or simply just don't understand, but no, Dried fish is very excellent food for longevity when trying to make larger gluttony sessions or quickly rebounding after losing a character. Compared to its roasted equivalent where you would lose 50% of the foodgroup 50% of the time most dried fish only lowers you 10% of the food group 20% of the time. Depending on the fish, and because of the low restore hits, dried fish can be one of the fastest ways to power up a newer character as with only 3 minute FF timers you are guaranteed to clear off your 30 Minutes for 3 point streak up to quite high biles.

Fish recipes in general suck, though, so I doubt many people past 100 biles eat more than a couple fish foods in a session.

It takes ages to dry, the point of 3 minute FF timer is a good one. But Sea Loaf is by far the better fish food for gluttony, IMO.

Sea Loaf has a 3h timer and for most newbies would over fill their biles and just slow down their glutton sessions. Dried fish works the same as smoked meat but without the expencive set up - its perfect for newbies.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

The thing is it takes days for fish to dry. BY the time the fish has finished drying, a noob can have 40 biles or so and not need this food. It should take a night or so (8 hours give or take) for a fish to dry. Or 24 hours top. Otherwise it's non usable.

And fishing itself requires a bit of infrastructure to be viable. However, an established raider can dry a couple sheds worth of fish ahead of time and wait for his raider to die before using it. It doesn't matter if it takes a few days if you're going to store it for future use.
