it might, it might not.

Generally, the best way to get help with client issues is in the "Bugs and Technicalities" forums. "Help" is reserved for game mechanic questions.

Also, you'll have to be slightly more specific. Do you get any error message at all? something like this?

I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I fixed this error.

1- Go to Java in control panel.
2- Tick all buttons which says enable downloads and updates.
3- Save this settings and exit.
4- Restart your computer and try again. It will work.

Notice: Download ender or latikai client. if you didn't download already.

Would that make a difference when the client has already started (he is trying to create a new character)? Or are you implying he needs to update his java?

Restarting your computer is rarely necessary anymore these days, even with jumbled up junk live java runtimes.

It might be an issue with video drivers/opengl, but the client should never just close without an error message.

okay then there are two ways to fix this problem.

1- He needs to run salem.jar with high performance mode of his graphic card.

2- He needs to remove java and salem files and reinstall them.

Why would either of those impact graphic drivers?

The thing is, until we have an actual crash report, there's little we can do to solve the issue ...
