Gardening & New World Gourd Question

I have been planting New World Gourd trying to get the Baby Bear, but all I can seem to get is red bell pepper. Wiki says that Red Bell Pepper is the hardest to get, and the most likely output would be Baby Bear. Am I missing something that is causing me to get only Red Bell Pepper?
I am using 0-4% everything: humus, plant, pots etc.

I have read the wiki, done a search on forum and read the posts, and still cannot find an answer.

Its random, I got more peppers than baby bears too. Just keep planting and you will get some.
You can also ask if anyone has some starter potables to trade, most people will trade you some baby bears or a stack of seeds for the gourds you are using.
