Oiled vs. warped boards

Is there a specific proficiency that has an effect on the chance a planed board has of becoming oiled vs. warped, similar to how Hammer & Nail affects planing boards? Or some sort of formula it follows?

Or is it just luck of the draw on whether they become oiled or warped?
