There is a german proverb: "Satzzeichen sind keine Rudeltiere." --- engl.: "Punctuation marks are not group-living animals."

and just fyi: you can be perfectly fine without purity stuff as a newbie. And thats the expected audience for these "Let's play"-videos.
In feudalism, it's your count that votes...

I think these would help new players:

1. Political situations on each server - in a fair and unbiased way
2. Importance of checking the forums
3. How to Tier fields
4. Understanding Criminal Acts
5. Trading with other players - tips on avoiding scammers
6. Dealing with other players - tips on how not to fall prey (ie: grouping, overly trusting players)
7. A short video on how to teleport to a friends claim

Just from my own experience and many mistakes
The importance of getting Settling and making Leanto and Make Homestead, and not settling too close to the town.
Getting Indian Tracking and selling the necklace things for your homestead silver.
Do not think it is safe to transfer goods between alts at town barrels, as you WILL get robbed (not dual boxing or using two clients)
Just because you learned Swimming doesn't mean you can cross all rivers (the one I wish I had figured out a bit quicker)
Forage is nice, but watch your bile
Timber rattlesnakes really CAN get you when you are up a ridge from them!

Also an easy to understand explanation of gluttony system. Even now I still don't get it all, and I read the guides and watched the videos both.

Edit to include:
Hard emphasis that you WILL die and you WILL get robbed, and it is NOT hard to recover from while you're newb.
