Darkness?

Is the wiki very outdated, cause there was a picture with pure darkness and a torch on, but I just hit a dead end on the world just going south, theres even a waxing toadstool chilling over there and a deer walking in and out of it?
Any help on this please? Ty

I'm not exactly sure what your asking but I'm assuming you want to know if you're in the darkness? Best way to know is if your biles have started draining on their own. You'll want to make sure you don't have any special movement modes turned on, I.e. wander or forage, in order to know for sure. If your biles are draining your in the darkness and should proceed with caution as the drain can knock you out. And because agropelters. It doesn't necessarily need to look dark by your normal standards, it just gets more so that way as you go in further but the outlying areas look deceptively normal.

Not sure what your meaning by the deer and mushroom.

I know I'm in the darkness, I've been running through the darkness to get as far as possible away from the center of the map. I hit the edge of the map, where a mushroom/deer were where I could not cross over to, it was just an invisible barrier where I couldn't go any farther, and the game didn't even look all that dark. I thought it was suppose to get very dark, and yes I know what argopelters are, my humours are all in the 40's so I'm fine going through it.

Sorry I wasn't clear with the situation, I was just in a rush to find out how to go farther in the darkness, rather than run into that problem, didn't mean to give you an attitude either, I know your just trying to help.

i assume your using enders client since you are unsure if your in darkness...

the default client dose darken the lighting... while im glad to be away from the whole screen turning dark it would be nice if maybe the edges darkened a little or some thing.
