(solved)(useless community) Game client wont launch

I just digned up, and downloaded the salem.jnlp

the problem is that when i try to open it nothing happens.

i reinstalled java7, and the same happens.

when i first downloaded it, it asked me what program to use to open it. i had to go to my java folder and tell it to use java.

I then verified and uninstalled java 6 components and tried again. this is the error i got.



i then told it to use java web launch and got this error.
"Bad Installation. no JRE found in configuration file.

did you tell it to use java, or javaws? jnlp files are supposed to be started with java web start, a.k.a. javaws.exe
Although the error about a JRE in a config file seems to point to something else (but then, java installations aren't exactly intuitive, most of the time)

edit: which operating system is that? I'm not familiar with the look&feel

yes i did tell it to use web start. windows 7

i solved the issue by rolling back to java 6.
