You can make some decent money that way but it takes a lot of work. It's lower risk than cricket hunting though (and less bothersome in my opinion).

wow, how much plenty do you end up getting with all that lime?

Personally (I'm not trying to make a fortune) I put 3 humus on, wood chips and then enough humus to get the plenty up to 181% (this will give the 10 cotton for a sheet). You have to have something to produce all the humus, I find corn is one of the easiest for that, but pumpkins give the best returns. Failing that foraging helps.

Like I say, this isn't the best method, its slower than using coal, but its the laid back approach that decides it for me.

100 lime = 843 plenty % without bonus'

That's a little extreme. Again I don't understand people who put so much effort into everything on their base EXCEPT braziers. 100 lime is enough to smelt about 16 iron bars or so which equals 4 braziers.

You'll start to see some big diminishing returns around 24-48 lime.
