http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/win8_faq.xmlThis is the link to download java 64bits offline file.
http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/ ... leId=75261You know its funny how Windows 8 is suppose to be Windows 7 with add features but yet its sux when talking about compatibility with
games & some programs. I even went to some PC shop to check & they only sell Win7 OEM version , for retail box version they only have
Windows 8

, hopefully some game shop still have warehouse stock
To run salem in 64-bits you need to change the properties of the salem target info from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\javaws.exe to
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaws.exe" . Note must include the " .
For me is right-click salem shortcut > click properties > Shortcut > Target and change from
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\javaws.exe -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=http://plymouth.seatribe.se/java/salem.jnlp "C:\Users\eiokh\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\35\5192be3-2204cd09" to
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaws.exe" -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18779594/salem/updater.jnlp "C:\Users\eiokh\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\36\2ea60324-65c8f901".
It also depend on where u install java 64-bits . The link i gave u is if u install in the default location.
