Raising purity of crops

Postby YoukaiMori » Sat Apr 06, 2013 4:59 pm

How do I go about this in Salem? I knew how in H&H but I can't seem to find any info on how to do it in Salem.

Is it based on soil quality like in H&H and I just have to run around until I find good soil?

High purity humus + High purity seeds in a field. You get high purity humus from high purity compost and high purity compost bin. You get high purity compost bins from high purity materials.

What people aren't telling you is that crop purity just got a major change so that it is no longer really possible to get high purity crops, even if you plant high purity seeds.

That will hopefully change very soon. We've been getting weekly updates on Wednesday/Thursday, so keep an eye out for new information about what farming will be like in the future in the announcements forum.

Good luck getting any purity crops without good humus which you can't get without pure bins.
Not to mention not being able to plant any trees yet to get said bins.

Started out about two weeks ago.
As it is now, i have a pretty hard time getting humors up without eating crates full of low purity baked goods.
Foraged stuff is totally out of the question save perhaps witch's hats.
Even then it sucks and i'm only in the mid twenties.
I really like this game but i'm seriously thinking of quitting while i haven't invested too much time yet.

Well if you're in your 20s you can still use **** ingredients to raise your biles (2 mushroom pies will give you 1 of Blood/YB). And if you pay a little attention to elements you can even use meat pies to raise phlegm. Cabbage cakes will give you easy BB. You should be able to reach at least 40+ like this (even more i would guess,if you go with large quantities). And you can always check the stalls for some high purity food for a quick raise;)
