Firearm questions for planning slotting

Postby pistolshrimp » Mon Apr 01, 2013 9:40 pm

I tried searching but am having trouble finding the answer to my question.

I believe I read that yellow bile increase the damage one can do with a firearm, but are there artifacts that do the same? Another way of asking this is which combat type does firearms fall under, conclusive, blunt, piercing, etc? Does common power or defense help you in any way or is firearms just some category of its own? If so does anyone know if firearm/marksmenship power and defense is a planned addition?

Or does someone have any input on firearms on general, are they worth pursuing or is a saber/piercing the best way to go still?

It doesn't have a damage type yet so only common applies. This will likely change in the future, though.

Snake skulls and flagstraps will help for now untill a firearm specific artifact is introduced (probably going to be useless)

Since Snake skulls and flagstraps are endgame artifacts that share Cloak and Dagger proficiency, you will end up having most of your gear with both of these regardless.

So how do the guns scale with yellow bile compared to a stab?

About 70-90% of a thrust, depends on artifacts.

Pistol, less so.

Thanks for your help guys. Another firearm question: is there any difference is say the flintlock and the founding fathers rifle and pistols, other than graphically? Are there any other firearms out there and if so is it too early to ask which is the best?
