I think its whoever places the stone regardless of who bought the writ.

It belongs to whoever bought the writ unless it's been changed. (If it has, it wasn't announced.) It has been one quite common complaint of the game.) You'll know who owns it for sure by who can manage it. Otherwise, anyone in the party has rights to do anything on a claim if they are in a party with the owner. They just can't manage the stone.

To get rid of that lean-to, just expand over it. It is then "yours" and can be destroyed without black skills or leaving scents. If it hasn't been flagged as a homestead, it doesn't matter and anyone can destroy it.

My friend is considering buying a package to get a homestead writ so we can meet up but if he does, where would the new stuff end up? In his inventory, Leanto or in town. Its important because he is out walking in the middle of no where...

Is there a long wait because the post master has no new mail for him. He only has the original Leanto the Wilderness Guide gave him. Maybe time to contact support if the package don't show?

There seems to have been a lot of complaints about non-delivered cash shop items today. I'd hit up support ASAP. Delivery is normally instant.
