Does this work the same in all directions, or just when lime is to the West or North?

Now if only Dirt were renewable...

the direction doesn't matter. And yeah, admittedly, dirt isn't "infinite" either, but generally you're digging away at one part of your base or other anyway.

In any case, I just prefer to put a lime mining alt with quarrying at a random lime quarry, and import the lime via boston.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

To note: I'm pretty sure this bug has been reported. (Or I'm recalling a similar one.) Either way, I copied it over to Bugs.

I noticed this after I tried to dig up a small trail of lime to be able to build a fence over it. The dirt just don't cover the lime. In this case I wanted that to happen.

I just did some testing on the "Labor" side of humus-farming, and I concluded that slicing pumpkins or breaking up heads of cabbage before composting them is a TOTAL PAIN IN THE ASS. It's a good thing that you can chuck pumpkins in whole! I think I remember there being a suggestion to allow this for cabbage-heads as well.

I will need to do some additional research when my next pumpkin crop matures to determine the yield of "remainder pumpkins" which will not have the full amount of flesh.
